So what are some of your favorites?

Tough to beat Smokey - Tears of a Clown, Second That Emotion, Tracks of My Tears. I'll put Al Green's Let's Stay Together and Marvin Gaye's What's Going On up there too.

Always had a soft spot for Gladys Night and the Pips - hard to imagine two more sincere love songs than Midnight Train to Georgia and Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me (even if both were labeled after her Motown stint, hard not to think of them as Motown).
