Oh, come on! Facebook is fun. Nothing like reconnecting with people from high school and then having them dump you because your political/religious/whatever beliefs don't mirror theirs. It really is like high school all over again!

yep ... there's something VERY WRONG with fuckbook ! [}:)]

here's what i wrote in a bulletin to all friends of mine @ myspace , after i read about the deletion of a friend's account over @ fuckbook !

well ... i always said / wrote that i dislike facebook for more than jus' one reason , but what happened to jenny lens there now jus' goes to show that facebook is actually THE WORST of all "social networks" & should be avoided like the plague !

IF you post anything here, or Facebook, or Blogger, etc, be sure you keep contact info, text, pix on your hard drive. Facebook deleted me but let some asshole named "Punky Punky Brewster" remove my watermarks and mark and sell my photos!!! I think she might be selling them on eBay. Facebook sucks.

PASS THIS AROUND/

Facebook deleted my profile without warning, violating their OWN Terms of Usage, PLUS ignored MY NOCI, left “Punky Punky Brewster,” (I know her real name too, which I gave them), a fake profile remaining with MY copyrighted photos (despite the NOCI).

Facebook left MY photos posted on a Group, with my text clearly stating I was the originator and administrator of the group, yet no reason why I was no longer administrator nor active on Facebook. Plus left my comments posted throughout Facebook. Just left bits and pieces of me so that people think I am mad at them, or left friends and other discussions up in the air.

The damage Facebook has done by deleting my profile, allowing my defaced images on a fake page and all of the above is incalculable.

The uproar is growing, as I have notified a few friends, all coming together to ask Facebook: will this happen to them? Why Jenny Lens Photos?

Hence the warning: I don’t want this to affect others as it is affecting me.

The money and time I am losing, the loss of face and my reputation both with my Jenny Lens Punk Archive, http://jennylens.com and my new web consulting business, http://punksellsout.com, the hurt of losing the community I built on Facebook based ON MY REP, not Facebook’s rep, plus writing and speaking glowingly about Facebook to my cherished friends, reconnecting with lost friends and new ones who know my work, is disheartening at best and to some, criminal at least.

Please tell peeps to be sure they have contacts, emails, photos, text, whatever, backed up on their computer and not just Facebook.

Read below for online links to a few news articles, blogs with comments from a few of the many peeps Facebook DELETED WITHOUT WARNING. Or Facebook makes it hard for peeps to totally delete their personal info after they left, voluntarily or per their request.

Plus warnings of Facebook’s potential gathering of our info for the government, the CIA, business and others, etc. They could be working with the government to track all our emails, friends, everything.

What if we discuss family medical history? Will they gather that and deny insurance or employment based on our PRIVATE medical background? What if an employer doesn’t like our religion? Will they turn down a resume because they know information we thought private on Facebook? Will they discriminate based on our our political affiliations, our sexuality or age?

This is serious stuff. Not just targeting ads on the right side of our pages.

I wrote a legal NOCI, Notice of Claimed Infringement, February 3, 2009. Usually Yahoo, Yahoo Groups, Flickr, Google, Blogger, various bloggers and forums, and other web hosts/ISPs remove MY photos WITHIN 48 hours, then THANK me for notifying them, as per the law. NINE DAYS LATER AND NO RESPONSE from Facebook.

My Facebook profile deleted, which violated Facebook’s own Term of Usage to give a warning, 9 days after Facebook IGNORED my NOCI. Which is ILLEGAL. NOCI are legal filings which MUST be acted upon, usually within 48 hours.

Plus the ONLY way to verify an account is with a cell phone. “Facebook uses security tests to ensure that the people on the site are real. Having a mobile phone helps us establish your identity. Please verify your account by confirming your phone here. We'll text you a confirmation code.” I don’t have a mobile phone.

Do I cease to exist because I don’t need nor use a mobile phone?

Facebook: Who gave you the right to eradicate or invalidate me? Am I not flesh? If cut, do I not bleed? Did Facebook ever TRY to prove my identity?

Facebook crossed the line legally and ethically. They picked the wrong person to trample upon. I stand up for my rights, and YOUR rights. I am connected. We are all connected.
