Another promise broken

Obama pledged not to sign bills full of earmarks. The $410 billion Omnibus Appropriation Act of 2009 has been identified as containing at least 7.7 billion in earmarks. So much for his statement that he would go "line by line" to eliminate wasteful spending, he now says that will apply next year. Democratic Senators Bayh and Feingold have both come out against the bill in it's current form.

I agree that any earmarks is disappointing, but, unless my math is wrong, at least the pork amounts to less than 2% of the bill.
