Hobbies?
I fancy myself an artist and somewhat limited musician. I almost cut my thumb off about 5 years ago so my bass playing abilities have diminished quite a bit. I also collect vinyl (started in 1972) and have amassed a collection of close to 5,000 lps. I like to challenge myself when it comes to art so I create in Microsoft Paint and fine tune with Paint.Net (Photoshop clone). I have created artwork for locals bands back in the day and have painted in the past. I had a couple of paintings stolen from an exhibit about 10 years ago and I hung up my brushes.
Obviously you like new wave music…what else do you listen to?
I’m mighty picky when it comes to anything after 1985 but I do like some electronic stuff and if it’s really out there like Messer Chups or the Tiger Lillies then I’m all over it. I also have quite a collection old krautrock which is what I listened to prior to punk / new wave.
Favorite TV shows:
Well, I don’t watch much but when I do it’s usually a documentary or biography. I do fancy Whose Line and Top Gear plus any kind of British comedy particularly Red Dwarf or any Python related stuff.
Last movie you saw:
I just saw Watchmen and thought it was pretty good. I like stuff like Pi, Sin City and old Pink Panther comedies with Peter Sellars. Steve Martin pretty much sucks as the Inspector though.
Claim to fame?
I was present when Stiv Bator and Joey Ramone met in Youngstown Ohio behind the Youngstown Agora. Stiv was from Girard Ohio which is between Youngstown and Niles where I live.
Anything else you have to say?
No, not really….I’m a pretty nice person who has no need for organized religion and my major pet peeve is inconsiderate people. You’re not the only person on this planet so think before you do something that might have some impact on others. Thank you and good night.
