My refrigerator is dying -- any day now, that it. It's all over. The Mrs and I are looking for a new one. Does anyone here have any recommendations for fridges to buy or grave warnings of fridges to avoid? These motherfuckers are expensive.
(Countdown to someone posting a photo of William 'Refrigerator' Perry with a funny line: 10, 9, 8...)

Can't go wrong with a Kenmore, with an ice and water dispenser [:D]!

Funny you should mention that Cadman, I haven't been entirely satisfied with my Kenmore fridge. It does keep the food frozen & cool on the respective sides, but it is lacking in the ice dispenser. Maybe it's my fault for wanting more than 1-2 ice cubes per minute.[}:)] I suppose I should have bitched from the start and maybe I could have gotten a better one with the warranty coverage.
It's also disappointing since it's made for Sears by Whirpool, and I've had very good luck with Whirpool appliances. Just got rid of my 16 yo Whirlpool washer & dryer to get new front loaders. Dishwasher & stove are both 15 years old and working fine too.

One of my favorite commercials, Blir. The Mrs doesn't seem as impressed as I am so we're still in the negotiation phase.
Don, I have to agree with the Kenmore suggestion. Ours in 9 years old and still problem-free.
We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Blir, that's a great ad
Thanks, everyone. The wife and I are meeting at lunchtime to do some fridge recon. Whirlpool's at the top of the list so far. I didn't realize they made Kenmore fridges.

We remodeled the kitchen in July. I bought the Satin Whirlpool gold fridge. I love it so far. My previous fridge was a kitchenaid and I never had a problem with it in the 15 years I had it. I believe Whirlpool and kitchenaid are the same manufacturer. Good luck.
