WTF is the President doing bowing to a Saudi king? Didn't see him doing it for the Queen of England. Then you have Robert Gibbs denying it, what part of this did he not see?

I remember when Bush 43 held the Saudi Prince's hand, a sign of friendship in the Arab world. He got a lot of flak for that too. The fact is that different cultures have different customs and as a matter of good diplomacy, world leaders learn and respect them. Knocking it is silly but so is pretending it didn't happen.

Enzfan, If your concern is so great in how we treat the Saudi's, May I suggest Lee Iacocca's book "Where have all the Leaders Gone?" It is a short read and will tell you all about some of America's leaders very close friendship with the Saudi king. If I remember correctly, the Bush family compound in Colorado has a special guest house for the Saudi family right on the property.

We can't get rid ourselves of oil dependency soon enough. Here's a pretty radical eighteen minute chat if you have the time to watch.....

I believe Gibbs is setting the record today for the number of "Uh's" spoken in one press conference.

This is a nonissue.

I was more alarmed at Bush's obsequiousness at bowing to the Saudis for 8 years.

Bowing in that direction is more typically called bending over.
