which fast food restaurant do you think has the best french fries? If your favorite place isnt on the list, please post it.Also, whats your favorite condiment, etc. for your fries? - mine is ranch dressing

Klaus' Pomme Frittes in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Best I've ever had, served in a cone (butcher paper)and out of this world good. They sell right on the street from one of those hot dog vending carts, also kick ass bratwurst with the best german bread and german mustard I've ever had. Not crazy about the german ketchup but love their fries with a little vinegar.

Fair fries! The lovely greasy vinegar soaked madness with a bit of ketchup (catsup).

I have yet to be disappointed by the fries at any fair around here.

New York Fries.

I can not believe, seriously, that that many people voted for McDonalds. McDonalds has [i]hands down[/i] the worst french fries available. Additionally, McDonald's ketchup is nasty too. In fact nothing in that "restaurant" is worth eating at all.

My favs used to be from Mr Hero's a cheesesteak sandwich fast food operation in Northern Ohio. They served waffle fries that were great with vinegar and ketchup. In my youth Cedar Point the giant amusement park in Sandusky had some of best fries I can remember. In high school fries and gravy were a lunch time staple

In-N-Out's fries, heavily salted and dunked in BBQ sauce.

Sullivan's at Castle Island in South Boston.Great fries and even better burgers.

Straight cut fries with brown gravy. Gotta specify the brown gravy, because there's a few places around here that'll sell you white cream gravy. Yuck. The brown gravy is pretty hard to find.

That's funny -- we can rarely get cream gravy out here in NV, and it drives me crazy. I'm from Texas--I'll put that shit on anything! I have to make my own, and making gravy is a work of art that requires amazing skills. You can either make it or you can't. Mine is either like white water or so thick you can cement things together with it [:D]
