As we hurtle towards Socialism, I gotta give a thumbs up for Obama's penchant for communication. He seemingly has had more appearances, interviews, press opportunities and supplied more sound bytes so far than the last guy did in 8 years.

BS or not, I feel like he's making an attempt to keep us in the loop. Or at least creating the illusion of it. Either way, he's putting in the effort that shows he has respect for the people he is serving.

I think Reagan had this gift too. W lacked the ability and/or intent to communicate and connect on this level. Easily interpreted as arrogance, neglect or wallowing without a rudder.

I may not like the direction but at least I know where we're going.

I agree with the direction, and I agree that he's pretty good at communicating & seeming reasonable.

In Europe they have socialism for people. In the US, we have socialism for corporations.

Sheesh. The election only allowed us to vote for McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden.

I guess some of you think things somehow would be substantially better if only "your" guy had won the election. Can any of you explain the basis for this fantasy-- currently shared by you, viewers of Fox News, the John Birch society, and bitter ex-Wall Streeters?
