i got my first computer in 2000 it had windows me, about a year later i got a nero burner put in. to back up your albums on data cds
you drag the folders of the albums you want, you drop and press burn.
easy.

well about 8 or 10 months ago i finally bought a new computer.
but the burner built in this new one isnt doing that. first time i tried to burn a data cd it did that thing where i burned it. then i went back to check it and half the albums i burned said unknown artist track 17 and so on. so i tried again today and this time it burned all the albums but as loose songs. so instead of album folders its track 1 from every album then track 2 and so on.i just want it to burn the albums in the folders i draged and dropped with the titles that are on the folders i dragged and dropped!

im using the windows media player burner that came preinstalled. i have vista. i tried installing my old nero burner disc but the computer kept not starting correctly and i had to start in safe mode and use recovery to go back before i installed the nero rom.

so does anyone know a way or a free program i can download or something so that it will just burn exactly what i drag and drop.

Sure it does. Both Windoze XP and Vista have CD burning built in. You say you just want to back up and preserve folders and contents via drag and drop? Just insert a blank CD, Windoze will ask if you want to burn files to a disc, name it, pick some options, dump what you want to burn into that folder, then just hit burn to CD when done.
