I've liked the Ventures for as long as I can remember. I never really pursued their records, but they always seemed to be there in pop culture. They remind me especially of going to drive-ins when I was a kid. I seem to recall "Walk Don't Run" as well as "Surf Rider" by The Lively Ones and "Bustin Surfboards" by The Tornados as Drive-In intermission staples at the Long Beach Los Altos Drive-In, behind Worthington Ford. Seems like Bob had some fun along the way. Thanks dude.

My dad has one of their albums. He played it a lot when I was a kid. They did some good Christmas songs with that 60's beach sound.
