Billy Mays RIP

Mr Orange Glo is gone.

Police: TV pitchman Billy Mays found dead at home

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police say Billy Mays, the television pitchman known for his boisterous hawking of products such as Orange Glo and OxiClean, has died. He was 50.

Authorities say Mays was pronounced dead Sunday morning after being found by his wife at home. There were no signs of a break-in, and investigators do not suspect foul play. The coroner's office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

Mays' wife, Deborah Mays, says the family doesn't expect to make any public statements and asked for privacy.

Mays was also featured on the reality TV show "Pitchmen" on the Discovery Channel, which followed Mays and Anthony Sullivan in their marketing jobs.

No call list, but if a tv pitchman had to go I would like to have seen "Vince" from the Shamwow fame bite it first. He is an annoying shit.

Ditto. Isn't he the same guy who also does that food chopper product commercial?

WTF is going on with celebrity personalities these days?

Does this mean 50 is the new 70?

Billy Mays, Wacko Jacko, Bernie Mac. Good thing I've got 13 years left!

Whenever his "booming" voice came on late night while I was watching wahtever, I had to turn the volume 'down!'

So I'm like morbidly happy that we won't have to hear any more shouting about "miracle products" that don't really work--or do they?

Never bought any of them... on another note Ithink the theory of 3 has blown a gasket, i.e. Sky/Ed/Jacko/Farrah/Billy. [}:)]

Just like the Michael fans are saying: "How can we go on? Only 50. Where is the fairness in life? Forget Michael Jackson. This is the King!"

BUT wait & we'll throw in a salad spinner.
Wonder if he & Jackson would rot in those poly green bags?
Vince should be grateful the hooker just tried to bite off his MOST vital organ!

Anthony Sullivan you are a marked man!

RIP Mr. Mays

And now for some of the funniest dubs I've seen on the "internets":

Mighty Putty Dub:

Mighty Mend It Dub:

My kids are bummed. They loved Billy Mays. They couldn't give a rats about Jackson, but they were honestly pretty down today about Mays. They totally get his tongue-in-cheek ESPN spots especially. What a drag. Ditto on why not taking that freak Shamwow guy instead.
