Lost in all of the celebrated deaths that have occurred recently, is the loss of Oscar Mayer who died at the age of 95 in a nursing home on Monday. He was the former CEO of the processed meats giant and actually the third Oscar Mayer to run the company.

He is also the second famous person to have died in the last few weeks who will be remembered as someone whose meat was regularly offered up to minors.

Of course, O-S-C-A-R did not have a much publicized memorial service.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I'll miss ya Oscar, more than Michael, Farrah or Ed. Maybe not as much as Billy Mays, Alexis Arguello, or Steve McNair.

Odd though that a guy named Oscar Mayer produced some of the least kosher food of the 20th century.

Is it weird that his coffin will be in the shape of a hot dog bun?

RIP Oscar Mayer
