Just saw this on the TV news. I loved his movies. I'd consider reading his biography.

Very sad, indeed! Who doesn't have a favorite movie that John Hughes didn't have his hands all over?
A fitting tribute would be to turn a quote from [i]Ferris Bueller's Day Off[/i] towards the master:

Thanks Marv, that was a great read. I was blown away when I heard the news. I have just about every one of his films either on VHS/DVD and some on both. Very sad.

Here's a short read from Molly Ringwald in yesterday's NYTimes. I had the rare opportunity to meet her in person along with Ally Sheedy and Alan Alda while they were filming scenes of Betsy's Wedding in NYC. It was unforgettable, being a fan of the JH flicks and I was really pleased to see such a heartfelt and revealing article about her relationship with the director.
