What the hell?? I guess if we sodomize a 13 year old we should be forgiven? WOW, some people are truly fucked. That sick fuck needs to be hung by his balls!!

The French just have a knack for being on the wrong side of everything. The Poles...well, the last cool Pole was Banacek.

there are some wounds that time will not and should not heal!

Just because he has avoided the wrap for so long doesn't make what he did any less illegal.

Shoot the f**ker.

I agree that Polanski should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and that any defense or minimizing of his crimes are totally inexcusable.

At the same time, however, I notice that some in the media who demand justice in the Polanski case are the same ones who have insisted over and over that "we must look forward, not back" with regard to crimes/violations committed by our political leaders.

Well, like Leno said, it's not as if Polanski colorized a B&W film.

I'm one of the biggest advocates for statutory rape out there, but he drugged that kid and liquored her up first. And she told him no the whole time. That's disgusting. And if he dies in jail, good. He had it easy street in France. I don't know what kind of idiot fugitive thinks they can just tra la la all across the globe when they're a wanted man, but I admit I laughed when I heard the police greeted him at the airport. Here's a tip, Roman. Next time sit your stupid ass down in the country where they're happily harboring you and stop pretending like you're a global hero.

Her POS mother deserves to rot in prison, as well. Too bad SHE never got prosecuted.

This is not a right/left issue Sally.

Very ashamed of David Lynch and Terry Gilliam for supporting this pedophile. Anjelica Huston's excuse for Polanski, which is tantamount to saying "well, she was asking for it", should cause child rape victims to freak their shit.

Not me. This is about prosecuting lawbreakers, irrespective of political beliefs. Samantha Geimer was a victim, and she should see justice (belatedly) served. Are other victims, including those who have died or been tortured, not entitled to the same justice?

Meaning, I don't give a shit about her age at the time. I don't give a shit if Miley Cyrus is 16 and Justin Gaston is 20. I don't give a shit if Melanie Griffith was 14 and Don Johnson was 22 when he was schtupping her. I didn't give a shit when I was 13 and screwing 18+-year-olds. I don't give a shit about the statutory part. I only give a shit if it was flat-out rape. Which it was.

And the mother was a pimp who sent her daughter along with drugs in hopes that she would get raped. So let's save some hatred for her, eh?

Sorry, but your comment was very vague. If you had been specific about which political leaders you were talking about and what crimes you're referring to and how they related to this rape...

It's a good thing such grossly oversimplified opinions such as this are in the minority. Does anyone know if "flat out rape" is a legal term?
