It started 2 weeks ago when my modem crapped out. I would be online then it would lock up, and the modem would have to be reset. It happened over and over but not all the time. (don't worry the story gets good) So they tell me go to the cable center and trade in the modem. I go and wait on a long line and trade it in. Go home, hook it up, it does not work. Call cable and set up apt for them to come. Wait all day and when 6 p.m. comes around I call. They told me that I was not home. I asked for a manager. He said they fixed the problem from out side. My computer still does not work. We set up an apt. I stay home. Guy shows up at 5 and tells me he can't fix it. I call again and set up apt now with an "engineer"? I stay home, he never shows and reports I was not home. I call and complain, set up an apt. for the next day...nobody shows, I complain, they say I changed the apt. I set up another apt. They never show and say I canceled the apt.I complain and talk to a boss. After telling him that I am going to find him and rip his head off, he sets up an apt for me. I wait all day, they never show, I complain, they said I was not home. When I call this time I say how they are blocking my constitutional right to have access to the internet and I am making a report to the F.C.C. My phone does not stop ringing. Now they are going to send a boss to my house. Ok, I stay home, they never show, I call..now I have names, tell them no matter what they do from this point I am going to the F.C.C. They want to send a guy at 9 at night now. I said no. They called yesterday, I said no. They called today, I said do not come and if a guy shows up at my door I will smash him over the head with the modem.I have 2 bosses and a worker coming Wednesday to try to calm me down. I am going to let them fix everything, give me all my new rebates and free stuff, then cut the line to my house and call fios. ( trust me I cut out all the cursing and threats.)

I was hoping for cursing and more threats. Tearing someone's head off piqued my interest.

No, cablevision. Trust me there was lots of cursing. When they asked if they could send the guy at 9 p.m. I said send him so I can beat him to death. I told the guy I better not even see a cable truck pass down my street or I will get them too. God (or spaghetti monster) help them if they stand me up tomorrow. Watch the news at 5 just in case. Cause Philly is goin ape shit!

I had a similar problem with Time Warner....got the power boost for faster downloads ($10.00 a month) and I never noticed a difference. They set an appointment and never showed. Told me I wasn't home which I was. Made another appointment and never showed again. Told me that there was no appointment but would send someone out the next day...never showed again so I took my modem straight to the local division who told me that this modem isn't compatible with the power boost upgrade and took the unit. I said give me a new one that was and I would hook it up. Was told that it took a "professional installer" to hook it up (one cable line and a power line....a friggin' squirrel could hook it up). So I waited a week before someone showed up. He didn't have the new box with him and would have to return another day. I finally got everything worked out and got a rebate of 6 months for my troubles. I wish there was another company in this area. I would drop TWC like I dropped my ex.

At least I'm not alone Max.And you got a free 6 months! They offered me 79 dollars!
UPDATE: Guy calls today and says he is coming in 10 minutes. I ask are you the supervisor that called me monday and said you were coming? No...I am just a tech! SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!! He comes, goes on the pole (thats what she said) checks all the connections.....and utters the words that just shot through my skull.......well there is nothing I can do....we are going to have to send an engineer! SON OF A BITCH! An engineer was here and said he had to send a tech! That is it. I am calling fios tomorrow. I am also writing a report to the f.c.c. and calling cable to come take down the line and take the modem and eat my ass.
