Let's tone down the political discourse on this one.

Those aren't tea-party types, those are just republican elites. Tea partiers are furious with the GOP for their bailouts and spending (even though they will still vote for republicans at election time). Tea Partiers want smaller govt even though they don't know what that means -- over 80% of the fed budget is Medicare, Social Security, Defense, and interest on the national debt, but Tea Partiers aren't in favor of eliminating any of these programs.

So much for toning it down- leave it to Silly to suck all the fun out of a topic.
