Very sad. I grew up listening to Rainbow when he sang with them and very fortunate to see him twice with Sabbath back in the early 80's.A quintissential legend in my book !

To paraphrase Henry Rollins:

"When a chick has bailed on you and you're feeling misreable, you should stand on your bed, wrap a blanket around you like a cape and put on one of Dio's "Evil woman look out tonight..." songs. He's got one on every album. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better."

Met Ronnie a few years ago. The nicest man I have EVER met in the music business. Nobody comes close to his sincerity.

I photographed Alice Cooper several years ago for the cover of Restaurant Business magazine, he was one of the nicest celebrities I've met... Saw him a few years later, I was photographing a meet and greet backstage where his wife was emcee for a fashion show, again very pleasant, and thanked me again for doing such a nice job on the cover shoot.

Here are a couple of shots from the session... I need to upload the cover shot to my website at some point.

I hope nobody listed him for a kick in the face. That would be some low, punk-ass shit.

Thank you. I was going to do it myself ... you were much nicer about it than I would have been.

It is God's desire. All you satan worshiping, homo loving heathens need to repent.

[/quote]I was just saying he was nice, compared to his stage persona, similar to Ronnie James Dio, you would not know to expect someone famous with all the trappings of ego to be so gracious.
