Having been a longtime fan of the show, it really sucked hearing that Captain Phil Harris (my favorite of the Captains )died this past February. Now that the final episodes are airing..Oh My God..It's an absolute killer to watch how it all unfolds. Kudos to a job well done by Discovery-powerful TV.

I was gonna buy that season on DVD you insensitive fucker!

Why buy a whole season? Every episode is the same. Big waves crash over the deck, crew is pissed at a greenhorn, jackpot of crab, grueling labor/ice hammering, somebody gets injured, crew member has words with gruff captain, engine trouble, string of empty pots, storm approaching, blah blah blah. There, I saved you $40.

Wellwhat Reality TV show isin't repetative non-scence these days like "American Kareeoke / idol" Heres singers which are good but most are not capable of creating actuall singles & just redo others work for their credit & the world eats that up like cake???!?
If the 80s music were an engine it would have been the most diabolical V8 ever put together where american idol would be a briggs & stratten with a busted pull cord!
Makes me believe the 80s was the apogee of music!
The stuff comming out now is so hit & miss & few & far between to be a collective pattern !
Hollywood has even had trouble making a real hit film .....When they advertise the movie & say starts in theaters friday the only true thing they don't admit is "On DVD tuesday! The best bits of the film are during the 30 second trailer & comedy movies that lack comedy!
At least Mike Row addresses Crab troubles!

Don't listen to their crap, Randy, it is a great show. Almost as good as Ice Road Truckers.

Deadliest Catch is monotony. Like the plot of Seinfeld's tv pilot, the reason you watch it is because it's on tv. I watch it too. Why? Because there's nothing else on!

Giligan's Island is pretty limited and goofy, but it has a kind of universality to it-- it's a microcosm of society. (Get ready to spark a j for this:)

I really enjoy the the show as well and was blown away by Jake's admission a couple weeks ago, I guess I shoulda saw that coming. It'll be very interesting next season to see who is captain on the CM and how the crew is doing without Phil. I love the "After the Catch" stuff too, wish I would have found the time to head down to the Quarter when they were filming the series to meet some of the guys.

Oh the gut wrenching irony! Next you're gonna tell me that The Munsters are societal outcasts- more like us than we'd ever want to admit.

If there's nothing else on you need to step up your game and pay the extra 4.99 to get to the next cable tier. Or quit them completely and stick that coat hanger back in your TV. Watching a test pattern would be more entertaining than a boatload of fishy drama queens.
