Same Name Music Battles
Posted: Sat Dec 08, 2012 2:42 amI came up with this idea of having different songs with the same title duke it out to see which ones my friends liked best. I called it Same Name Music Battles. Just yesterday, I had the idea to create a page on Facebook, so that anyone can participate. (See: http://www.facebook.com/SameSongNameMusicBattles)
Basically, I will pit together two or more songs that have the same title in a post. In the immediate comments of the post, I will post the You Tube video (if available), and my friends/viewers will Like their favorite.
Songs are from any year and from any genre (which is why I am posting this in the Not Necessarily New Wave section of the forum here). Battles can have songs from the same genre, or completely different genres.
Examples:
"All Night Long" battle - Lionel Richie vs. Peter Murphy vs. Cathy Dennis
"Beautiful People" battle - Modern English vs. Marilyn Manson vs. Pet Shop Boys
"Open Your Heart" battle - The Human League vs. Madonna vs. M People
The page is new, and I have just begun to invite friends to join. Stop by, check it out, Like the page and see if your favorite in each battle is the victor.
I have a bunch of battles in the works. But, if you have an idea for a battle...post a comment on the page. When I create that battle, I'll post your name and give you credit.
