Jools Holland Cool Britannian 1 & 2 DVDs?

Postby Frau_Blucher » Sat Jun 17, 2006 11:45 am

Anyone check these out. I recently rented both. It was a fantastic way to visually familiarize myself with a lot of recent BritPop/NextWave bands. You can pretty quickly see for yourself who are the true Rock Stars and who are the sorta Whiney Wannabes. Almost 40 performances on each DVD. Some of the acts, all in great video quality:

Athlete, Ash, Badly Drawn Boy, The Beta Band, Bloc Party, Blur, British Sea Power, Catatonia, The Charlatans, Coldplay, Cornershop, The Darkness, Doves, Echo And The Bunnymen, Elastica, Elbow, Embrace, The Fall, Feeder, Franz Ferdinand, Futureheads, The Go! Team, Graham Coxon, Hard-Fi, Hope Of The States, Ian Brown, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, The Libertines, Manic Street Preachers, McAlmont And Butler, Morrissey, New Order, Oasis, Ordinary Boys, Paul Weller, Primal Scream, Pulp, Radiohead, Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Spiritualized, Starsailor, Stereophonics, Suede, Super Furry Animals, Supergrass, Travis, 22-20s, The Verve, and The Zutons.

Highly recommended. Anyone check these out?

I really dig that series!!! I have the number 1 DVD and want the second (not released here yet). Very varied stuff (Keane, Echo, Doves...) with excellent image and sound quality.

And the best thing is that the price for them is really cheap here... 29 pesos=10 dollars. [:D]

DVD is the greatest thing ever!!![8D]

The version of Remember Me by BSP is really nice, same for Doves' The Cedar Room. Ah... yeah... and Elastica!!!! They were cool, I want Justine back.
