The daughter of some cousins on Lawn Guyland (the Molinaros...of the Lawn Guyland Molinaros) was a member of The Decemberists for awhile. She has started her own group. I'll admit that the only tenuous connection to "next wave" may be that it sounds like some of the Decemberists. It's admittedly fairly innocuous - think chamber music with a beat maybe? They are currently on tour in California.
