I have recently discovered Pandora a new music site that gives you suggestions on new bands based on bands you like. I got this app for my iPhone and love it! I'm still in love wit the Mary Onettes so I put them in as a band I liked and it spilled out alot of really good stuff.

Check out www.Pandora.com

One of the bands I recently found was Kamera...check out their myspace.

This is AWESOME! There's been a couple of efforts in this space that have frankly been either disappointing, asked for too much manual involvement, not been intuitive, or whatever. This feels sweet. No one will ever guess band I entered [:I] and it spit out three really nice songs:

The Eeels - Nice Shit/Old Shit
Army Navy - Snakes of Hawaii
Dinosaur Jr. - I Live for that Look

This completely rocks Lestat! I like that there's more going on besides just personal preferences:

"Together we set out to capture the essence of music at the most fundamental level. We ended up assembling literally hundreds of musical attributes or "genes" into a very large Music Genome. Taken together these genes capture the unique and magical musical identity of a song - everything from melody, harmony and rhythm, to instrumentation, orchestration, arrangement, lyrics, and of course the rich world of singing and vocal harmony. It's not about what a band looks like, or what genre they supposedly belong to, or about who buys their records - it's about what each individual song sounds like."

Wicked wicked cool. [:p]
