Not really what I would consider "Next Wave". Dickinson's voice reminds me a bit of Mark Burgess and the "wall of guitar" is reminiscent of Husker Du but the overall sound is not overtly influenced by New Wave.
Aside from that, I really like Catherine Wheel. For me, the "Ferment" album never gets old. "Texture", "I Want To Touch You", "Black Metallic" and "Tumbledown" are favorites. HEAVY guitar but melodic and never grating.
