They'll be touring with the Kills in the spring. Not a bad double bill,

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the Horrors Tuesday night. They decided to stick with all new material, not one song from their debut. I like the new material , but I was hoping for some of that rip roaring garage punk they do so well on that first album. They also could've been playing in a basement somewhere. There was no acknowledgement that an audience even existed, except for a feeble wave from the drummer as he left the stage.

The Kills were awesome and what a difference a year makes. I saw them last year in the same place. This year a soldout show , last year maybe 2/3 full.

Thinking of the Editors recent awful change of direction made me think of the Horrors as well...except they're doing it right. This entire new album is monumental. I'm thinking top 3 of the year so far.

What a coincidence you mention the new album. I finally got around to picking it up 3 days ago. It is a solid cd. I wish I had bought it before I saw them, but I was more interested in hearing some older stuff at the time.
