Been sampling their To Lose My Life cd. Not bad. Sort of in the Interpol/Editors vein. A little bit of the Killers too on the title track.

Good stuff! Sorta has a early Duran2 feel to it, definitely hear the Editors reference too

we were talking about them in some other thread, they have been getting heavy Echo & The Bunnymen comparisons but I hear more of the Editors like you guys said, I really like a couple of their songs though, Death and From the Stars and I like the CD overall.

Seems like some folks are railing against them because they're a bit TOO Editors, not so much in their sameness of their slickness. Not "indie" enough seems to be one tack. Bullshit. They sound good to me so far. Don't know yet if they're a keeper or just very easy to listen to but a later throw-away.

Death was just kind of ho -hum for me at first , then I caught the live clip from the Jools Holland show and it was a keeper.

since when did the post-punk genre become such a moneymaker? all the greats of yesteryear that these guys blatanly lift from can barely make their rents. over-hyped mediocrity. I'll take the Sound and The Chameleons anyday. already playing Coachella? Ridiculous. what happened to paying your dues? mindless music for the lemmings.

I like the band's music, but the lyrics, my GOD, TERRIBLE. I can forgive kinda stupid lyrics if they work in context (New Order, for example), but I was in constant disbelief at how idiotic the words were that Julian Cope Jr. was singing.

Love it so far. I really enjoy they latest single "Farewell To The Playground". "To lose My life" is great but the refrain really stupid.

Let's grow old together and die the same time! [xx(]

Pretty good album. Barely a bad track on it. I'll take this over the current limp rehash of Neil Young and CSN out of Williamsburg that's dressed up in a sweater and sporting a mountain man beard and passes for Indie these days.

I'm getting very very excited. That is all.

"To Lose My Life," the single, is solid. The refrain is not stupid and I don't think the lyrics are, either. The other singles are less memorable. The remaining tracks are filler and sound it.

And The Killers? Please! Like they've come up with anything this good lately. Talk about a band going nowhere.

Heard one of their tunes on Sirius XM U this morning. No idea which song it was, but I thought it was a good track.
