Saw this band open for Stellastarr last night , some decent power pop. Anyone from NYC familiar with them?

They look like great fun. Perfect opener. Wouldn't necessarily buy their stuff, but I bet they have an eager local following.

I agree Blir , I'm not rushing out to buy their cd , but they made for an enjoyable opener. They pack a bit more punch live than those tunes on myspace.

I would...and did. I bought the track "Mr. Used To Be" from iTunes and love it. The Postelles are one of today's great indie-pop bands and are heavily influenced by The Strokes, in fact Albert Hammond Jr. (ex-Strokes) is helping them with their new album including producing at least one track. "Mr. Used To Be" is about living in the past trying to relive the glory days (sounds familiar!). Anyway you should check that track out, it's a great song.[:)]
