I don't tread in these waters very often, so please excuse if this is duplicitous.
"strict Machine" was great; now a followup album is scheduled.
Details, plus a clip of a new single "Oooh La La"

Here's a small video-snippet to 'Fly Me Away', in my opinion one of the best tracks from the forthcoming (Aug 28) new Goldfrapp album 'Supernature'. This track reminds me of New-Musik (

All the tracks from the new album 'Supernature' can now be heard in full on Goldfrapp's official site at
http://www.goldfrapp.co.uk (Supernature or Jukebox section). My favorite is 'Fly Me Away'
(

Supernature - best album of 2005 (so far) and should enter the UK album charts at no.1.
So many good tracks with perfect pop sensibilty - like a modern day version of the Human League's Dare.

I can't wait!!!!! I just bought the Utopia - Genetically Enriched remixes just to hold me over 'til next week. This itself is pretty damned good and has gotten me jacked up even more. Lemme know if anyone's interested in hearing a couple of the mixes. There's 5 Utopia mixes, 2 Human mixes, and a killer remix of Olivia Newton John's Physical...yes, you heard that right, LOL!

Just picked up Supernature in NYC today. Great...now what the hell do I play it on? I took a train into the city so I don't have my car AND I can't find the CD slot in my iPod! If anyone is around midtown tonight with a CD player, I'll gladly take you out to a fine dinner for the priviledge of its use. Skinnytie? Anyone??
I also picked up a great...and I mean GREAT...80s classic: Andreas Vollenweider's Down to the Moon remaster in 24bit. Were there any new age fans back in the day? But oh crap! I don't have a player for that either. I just might drop into one of those crappy tourist traps and pick up a cheapy. [V]
UPDATE: Phew, finally got the disc in a CD player. It's pretty damned good! REALLY clubby, much more so than the previous albums. Like "Ride a White Horse" (not ride THE white horse) - WAY sexyfunky. I'll give it a thumbs up despite being a wildly mad fan of their classic, deep, drawn-out syth pad sound. There's really only one song in this vein of "Black Cherry" or "Pilots" - the brain searingly ethereal "Time Out From the World".
Oh, and another thing...the inside of the sleeve is an amazingly classic new wave type pose with faux synths and aquamarine and black color scheme - very cool! OMG, but the complete foldout is a luscious miniposter of Alison - she must be mesmerizing in concert.

Does anyone know why "Supernature" was pulled from Amazon? It was listed there for a while as a soon-to-be-released selection, but it is now no longer available. The import is not available either. Very odd. Does anyone know when it will be released in the States?
