Anyone else absolutely dig these guys?

I love them...the FX they use is so great. I call them the perfect dark and rainy day band.
Not just any dark and rainy day...but a sunset rainy day.
Like they are the next wave equal to the House band Blue 6 (who I also really adore).

I guess I must be weird.
But I really really like these guys. I was wondering if there are any fans in here..and of course their favorite tunes and recommended listening...cause my selection is kinda small...
I have 2 CDs worth of material...and its kidna weird cause someone jsut sent me some tagged songs...(artist - title)...no album info or anyhting.

Im tagging hundreds of things at once... I spend hours a day tagging my collection...which is a horrible and tedious process.

Did they have a song called "Eugene" a few years ago?

Sloppy weird heartfelt pop music: I enjoy it, but why, I don't know. Sorry, I can't provide more insight. I was surprised to see "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" ranked so high (36th) on ateaseweb.com top indie band albums.

I went to high school w/ Jeff Mangum and knew him growing up. We were acquaintances, nothing more, but he was a nice guy w/ a sense of humor. He was a couple of years older than me, as was Robert Schneider (Apples in Stereo) and Will Hart (Olivia Tremor Control & Circulatory System). It's weird how a backwater produced 3 very talented musicians (4 if you count Bill Doss of Sunshine Fix, who grew up a few miles outside of town)who have gone on to produce some incredible material.

"In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" is definitely worth a listen.

Unfortunately, word is that Jeff Mangum has lost his nut. A shame for him and for us.
