Have you guys listened to Wilco's 2002 cd 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' -- I think it's a masterpiece. I love it. The entire cd is just one nice song after another. I need to listen to some of their other music as well. I heard an interview last year on NPR when they were promoting the "A Ghost is Born" cd, but I've not heard it yet.

Yes, I remember getting it hot off the presses from the Virgin What's New stand. I listened to it pretty frequently for the first couple of months. Funny thing is, it lost its compulsion after awhile and I probably haven't picked it up in two years nor have I ripped it to mp3 to carry in my iPod. I skirted through Ghost in stores but nothing hooked me. I'd also be interested if others thought it deserved a revisit.

Wilco is one of those bands who's songs can't be tested with 30sec sound bites. I found it took numerous listens before I "connected" with there music. That being said I find that I have to be in just the right mood to enjoy their music. I watched their DVD on KVK's recommendation that captues the making of Foxtrot Hotel, not bad, interesting story.

I got Wilco's latest - A Ghost is Born -- it's pretty mellow, similar to 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot,' which I prefer. I think it'll take a few listens through to determine how much it will stay in rotation, but so far I like it very much.

It's nice to put on something as background music that doesn't get in the way of what you need to do -- like Zeppelin's Kashmir is not background music, you know what I mean?

You folks might find this dorkish,but I bought the double lp when it came out and never opened it.I have a box of about twenty lp,s I will blow out the door in about ten years on ebay.My latest addition is Oasis new lp with the Gallagher limited print.Damn pricey and not to be played by me.My loss,and from what I have heard from Wilco they are very good.
