3 gigs of bands from the South by Southwest Festival have been put into a BitTorrent. Just go the link, download the two torrent files then grab the BitTorrent client appropriate to your platform, drag and drop the files onto your client and wait for the huge download:

Huge variety and I'm sure some noise, but a great way to sample a ton of current artists. Enjoy!

Phew, that only took about 16 hours. 3.4 gigs and definately a ton of good tracks. The ones you don't know are as interesting as the ones you know to be good.

My list of "likes" is growing, too - are you finding any more hits?

And for anyone else that has 3GB of free space - go for it. It's like a crash course in today's new music.

(Of course, there's some new music that isn't there...speaking of which, the new Futureheads single magically comes out of your speakers when you go to their website, and it's a surprise - not as manic as usual - but pleasantly so. Good stuff.)

Man, there's not that much I don't like on first listen. Maybe because as I hit "random play" to the whole list, the fact that it sounds so much unlike radio makes it all feel very fresh. It's really like having a complete new music radio station that'll play nothing stale for 7 straight 8-hour days! [:p]

But here it is Hubcity, here's what struck me as interesting at the very minimum and really really good overall. Now, my first impressions usually suck so this list is likely to both shrink and grow. But in the meantime, here's 100 of the 1000 songs. Hope you all get a chance to DL and sample, a great continuous play mix...

I guess it's been my M.O. lately. Stuff takes awhile to grow on me. Give Blood definately. Even Siren's Call, Witching Hour, Black Cherry, etc. Weird.
