Some WLIR-type requests

Hiya, gang and a Happy Independence Day! I have been lurking a lot lately... some cool threads going on!
Anyhoo, that Cult Hero wlir megamix got me feeling all nostalgic for some tunes I haven't heard since the heyday, for example:

Madness - 12" 45 dub mix of Our House
Crazy 8's - Johnny Q
Kids in the Kitchen - Current Stand
Pete Wiley - Sinful
Psyche - Uncivilized
Wolfman tap
Frank Chickens - Fujiyamama Mamamama
and most desired:
Jools holland - The Bumble Boogie (of all things)

Anyone have any of these nuggets they'd be willing to share?[:D]

Here's "Bumble Boogie"

And a "Special Remix" of "Our House" (probably not what you're looking for)

Marie, OH, Marie, merci, merci merci!

And MasMic - YOU ROCK! (as does the Boogie!)

and you're right -the version I'm thinking of had bits and pieces of other Madness songs in it.... but I thank you nonetheless for trying!

You're looking for Madness' "Seven Year Scratch" medley.

I have it and can post it... when I get back to my computer next week, if no one else has done it for you before then.

Tad,

If BigBri is right about "Seven Year Scratch" being what you're looking for, here's that....

Wow. DEFINITELY not what I was looking for, but quite a mix, nonetheless! Thanks - I'm glad to have it in my colletion!
The version I'm looking for is a version of Our House that was on a 12" single. The bits and pieces of the other songs were just that -a couple of licks here and there. I really appreciate you trying, though!

Is it the same song you were looking for in this thread a while back?

http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8112

Rewind said it was the "Stretch Mix". He would know.

Maybe someone new here has it.

I'd love to hear it and see if I remember it myself. [:)]

I asked around for the Our House version you were looking for, and the closest I could find was this one.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... F01D5579BB

It only has the one bit from "One Step Beyond", but take a listen anyway.

My friend also gave me a different version of the "Seven Year Scratch" that you may like.

Your kidding! Great!
They were both given to me by my friend Anthony who I got to know from this site. He snoops around but doesn't post. He has a great memory of WLIR and an even better collection.

Yes indeed, thanks for the mixes!
As a way of saying thanks, here are a couple of "swankified" New Wave song covers by Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine (I've posted a link to Mel Torme's original version of "Right Now" later by The Creatures in the Mel Torme thread - there's something wrong with that sentence.)

They're kinda goofy and certainly not the best RC has to offer, but they ARE New Wave covers.
