No shortage of NWO bands on myspace

No shortage of NWO bands on myspace

Postby British » Fri Oct 06, 2006 1:55 am

I decided to poke around and type in all sorts of obscure 80s bands on myspace, and was pleasantly surprised. Heck, I even corresponded with a few members of the bands. Not all of the myspace band profiles are fan-made, but in fact, member made.

<a href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=71056347">Josie cotton"</a> - safe to say it's her.
<a href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=67072516">Vivabeat</a> - Female lead singer-ran. She's alive!(boy did I misread that bio)

<a href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=105472013">Comateens</a> - Nic runs this

<a href="http://www.myspace.com/misex7980">Mi-Sex</a>

Needless to say, one can easily build up their list of friends, but it's of cool bands, thus top 8 or 16 worthy. I've got a handful of pending requests still(killer pussy, etc). Heck, I even got a jpeg of Killer Pussy's "teenage enema nurses in bondage" ep from the profile.

There was a really obscure Canadian punk band called Blibber And The Rat Crushers. I found Blibber on myspace. He is pretty cool.

Youtube is also a very interesting source with lots of rare videos from that age, I never even had chance to see.

Thanks for the tip, popreactor. Secession's "Touch" is great. Tough to find in the wild. The d/l from myspace actually sounds ok even though it's only a 96kbps vinyl rip.
