Where does Start Stop Stop and Stop Start Start?

This post demonstrates what an anal retentive tosser I really am, but what the hell.

I've been working diligently on the transfer of my cassettes to mp3.

I have Modern English "Stop Start" on cassette. On the track listing, the last two tracks are "Start Stop" and "Stop Start". They run into one another on the cassette and I'm sure they were meant to be heard together. But...being extremely anal as I am, I'm wondering what the cut-off time is supposed to be if I want to seperate the two tracks.

Can you convert that cassette to Mp3's? I have been searching for Stop Start for years! PM me and maybe we can work a trade?

That's a good question.

On my [i]Stop Start[/i] LP, the tracks on Side 2 are listed this way:

1. Breaking Away       4:00
2. The Greatest Show 4:52
3. Love Forever         3:16
4. Stop Start            5:42
    Start Stop

There is no number "5". The sleeve, however, lists both tracks separately, giving the impression of two separate songs.

I will hazard a guess that the track [i]could[/i] be split at around the 2:45 mark, right before the lyrics begin. That mark also coincides with what looks like a "gap" between tracks if you were to read the grooves on the vinyl, if you know what I mean (although, audibly, there is no "silence").

Thanks for your reply, and thanks for taking the time to look. I was hoping it might have been more obvious on vinyl. I've just lumped them together for now, into one 5:42 track.

I was surprised that my cassette was still in reasonably good shape after all this time. A great album from start to finish.
