Had some trouble finding information on this band. I finally found a page in Dutch that I was able to translate. From what figured out, The Tapes released three albums between 1977-1982, with 'Party' being their second release. In 1979 they releaed 'You Just Can't Sleep' and in 1981 they released their final album, 'On A Clear Day.' They were often (I guess in Holland at least) referred to as the 'Dutch Talking Heads.' I can see the comparisions - quirky songs and disjointed vocals. Seems they were influenced by Captain Beefheart too. If you like Taling Heads, PIL and early Tubes, you'll probably enjoy this, or at least find it interesting.
