Searching for....

I am new to this community so please forgive me if this has already been covered.
I'm looking for the song by Patrick D. Martin "I Like 'Lectric Motors", I have for years been looking for this song and only have just found out the other day by accident the name of the song and the artist. Does anyone know anything about the artist? Where he was from etc, what happened? Etc.?
Also I recently purchased a CD from the group Industry "Stranger to Stranger" I found that it was hard to get album and didn't know it was available on CD, but was surprised to find out that it was a couple of years ago in the Philippines. Anyway I was disappointed to find that the version of "In The Heat Of The Night" was different to the version I saw on a video of theirs. I wondered if anyone knew about the different versions and if anyone had the one I mentioned.

I'd be most grateful for any help. Cheers!
