SHARE: Kudos - How Can This Be Love (1984)

Hey everyone!

It seems a lot of you like (or at least downloaded) the Kudos album from 1983. There's one more piece of the Kudos puzzle I thought I'd share with you all. In 1984 Kudos released a single on Legacy Records (their album was released on Backdoor) and put out this really catchy single called "How Can This Be Love?" I haven't seen it for download anywhere, so I thought I'd share. The (instrumental) version on the 7" is the same as the one on the 12" though some places list it as (Extended Instrumental) it's not. At this point the band were paired down to Mick Silver and someone else with a mullet. There were 4 Kudos on the album one year prior. The extended version is particularly fun, so I've uploaded that to Youtube. Enjoy here:

Who do they sound like? Duck You Sucker meets Johnny Hates Jazz? I can't decide, but I like it...

ALSO: This may be my last post for a couple of weeks. I'm going to London for a vacation and some record shopping. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know where all the good 80's stuff is. I hope to bring lots back to share with you guys.

While I'm there, I'm also going to be meeting up with the Search Party guys and hear about their progress finally releasing their unreleased albums! I'm very excited!!

If I get a chance, I might post one or two more things before I leave tomorrow. Depends on time management. But if I don't get a chance to say it, I'll miss you guys!

Enjoy your Vaction Dominik, I was really dissapointed last time I went back to the UK looking for record stores if you can find a record fair you may do better. this is a great store
