Madness Request

Okay... Madness, not so obscure, but these 90s single remixes, which were cancelled, perhaps are! Anyone able to share?

In particular, tracks 1 and 4. Never available commercially. A bit of a long shot but... [:D]

Damn i've been after these for years didn't realise so many exist. And all in one place. Bugger i need this! I did some research and can't remember what i found. Had a 12" with 2 of the tracks and i found one of the tracks also on one of those In the mix albums that were issued at regular intervals during the mid - late 90's. Thought the mixes were good myself even heard one on the radio. There again i liked Night boat to Cairo '93 and i've heard others recently slate it!

Thanks for your reply Neil!

Yes, the 'In The Mix 98' 2CD features 'One Step Beyond [RIP's Ska Radio Mix]' but it's segued into the tracks either side of it, as it's a mixed cd! Irritating... there's about a minute missing as a result.

'The Prince 7" [Version + Dubs]' is on 'The Best Ska Album In The World Ever!' 2CD, but is tagged as '[Wubble-U Remix]' and is about 20 seconds shorter, but is not mixed.

However, I'd still like the mixes from the promo CD all in one place/quality. I'm just having no luck whatsoever finding them. £20 seems a lot to buy a copy when I'm not a massive Madness collector, but I may have no other option this time.

And just like that, I think I have found tracks 1 and 4 from the promo CD! So I'll upload them for anyone who may want them...

192kbps, mp3 format, ripped from CD by the sound of it.

Wow. How did you find that i've looked a lot in the past. Shame only 1-4 and 192 but still, better than nothing

Lol the first second is missing from track 1 and it's only track 1 and 4! track 1 224kbps and track 2 192kbps. Still sounds great to these ears. But i am a big fan of these kind of remixes. That is too say official and doesn't sound like a totally different song altogether

They were tagged as "RIP Mix 1" and "Wubble U Mix" and came from some Madness bootleg collection I found on a P2P filesharing network I sometimes use. I'm assuming they are the identified mixes, based on the versions featured on compilations. Obviously, would be nice to have the real deal and in full HQ...

That's my tagging. I thought it had over-written the ID3 tag completely but apparently not!
