"Hot On Top" was a cassette tape produced by Dallas, Texas-based synth-pop artists T-4-2 and distributed independently in 1989. They also released "Don't Let My Love" as a 12" single. This gained enough attention from Columbia Records to warrant a record deal. Their major-label debut, "Intruder," was released in 1992 and features re-recordings of a few of the tracks found on "Hot On Top." The first eight tracks here are taken from the "Hot On Top" cassette tape. "Don't Let My Love (Remix)" is taken from an Oak Lawn Records compilation. "Don't Let My Love (Metropolis Mix)" is taken from a 12" single by the Metropolis DJ mixing service.
