These supported Gary Numan in 1989 and released a few singles and just the one album 'Air'. They were really good but faded into obscurity in the early 90's - I was wondering if anyone had this at all:

http://www.discogs.com/Yen-Its-Unbeliev ... se/1273527

that they could rip digitally at all - there's mixes on it which I've never heard. Also the 12" Obscurity mix of Lonely which was an earlier single if anyone has that too. Many thanks and much appreciated if someone can help out.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing the Talk To Me single, elevatorman. It's been a couple years, and this one is most welcome. After so long I don't even remember what the remix that used to be up at Fade2 was.
Maybe one of the mixes on the single you shared? Anyway, good one, keep 'em coming

Thanks elevatorman for the Talk To Me post never heard those mixes before.

Looking on the list of stuff you have there's a couple of lost gems on this site which is the former drummer Grey's:

https://soundcloud.com/greydrums

Cover versions of Numan's Down In The Park and also the Stones' Paint It Black which Yen played live when they supported Numan.

Is there any chance you can post these:

Red Indians 7"
Red Indians
Trigger

Listen to Me 12" (as ¥)
Listen to Me
Listen to Me (extended version)
Listen to Me (Steve Spiro remix)
Just Can't Get It

The version of Red Indians/Trigger I've got is very ropey and I've never heard the Listen to Me 12" tracks.

Thanking you in advance if you can! :D

Furyboy, Links are still active over at Fade2Grey. Lots of Y and Yen there

Not all, but quite a few Yen singles, and an album there

Hi Sundayguy,

Great stuff thank you!The Red Indians/Trigger is a much better version than the one I have. Listen To Me is a great track too, really like the remix, never knew it existed!

Just a shame there was never an extended version of Billie Holidays Shoes (I managed to get the 12" signed by the band when they were on the tour bus but its not an extended version) and Millionaires off the Air album is another great track.

After seeing Numan since 1984 to now they are still one of the best support bands he has had - along bizarrely with Let Loose who did a one off slot with him in 1996. Apparently the drummer is a massive Numan fan - they even launched into FIlms at one point. For those that don't know the band they were a typical boy band of the era but my god could they play and they got a good reaction from the fans.

Finally on Numan support bands Daggers were also excellent - who later transformed into Hurts!

cheers!

Good call on Daggers. They put out a few good songs. Their version of The Waterboys' "Whole of the Moon" is amazing. Almost rivals the original in my opinion.
