Mind if I ask why Tiger?

This is a major shame if it has to go and we always had a nice chat whenever I was on (e-mail me!).

Kinda guessing here...

I wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with the risk/reward. I've seen other hub operators bail out after seeing news stories of DC operators getting busted...usually for big-time hollywood movie pirate rings and what-not. They must also just get tired of the hassle of it all: leaving their server software on for everyone, running it 24/7/52/365, dealing with tech issues, complaints, etc. There's something to be said for fully distributed, serverless networks. But I sure like the intimacy and organization of DC hubs though. Nothing prevents someone from starting their own hub. Um, unless your on a Mac and they don't have a DC server yet...good clients but no server software! [:(]

Whatever the case, huge thanks to the owner. I don't think we said it enough. Sadly, a couple of "what's new on the hub" or "what I discovered on the hub" threads just fizzled. People only seemed to post when it wasn't there.

I loved the chatting aspect more than downloading music, to be honest when I did pop in I was always hoping for a chat with you guys, Blir I am still a bigger Sparks fan than you, just because I don't like Sherlock Holmes" that don't mean a thing! [:p]

What a shame, and I was just talking to abacab66 about this last night, what is the reason for the sudden closing? I mean, I sure would love to chat it up with you guys more, but if it had to close it had to close, whatever the reason I am sure it's a reasonable one. Hey, it's not like anyone could ever get a song from me [xx(]

Marv, how did you like that Sparks album by the way? I never got to ask you

I guess I had an incorrect impression that the less hub talk on the board, the better.

It was a valuable resource to me. Thank you Tiger for hosting as long as you did.

Tiger - "Thanks" barely conveys what should be said for taking up the hub when it went dark a year or so ago. You did an awesome job & I for one, have always appreciated the huge effort and patience it took to maintain it.

It's funny, you never realize what you had until it's gone(I think I got that line from Run's House[;)]) but maybe we've learned a lesson in showing your appreciation much sooner than we have. Sorry it took me so long to say thanks and how much it was appreciated!
