REQ (+ a share) Kraftwerk rarities

Postby Moribund » Thu Aug 27, 2015 10:21 pm

Hi all, I'm having a hard time tracking down a couple of Kraftwerk rarities. I'm looking for the German language Radioaktivität (William Orbit 7" Remix); and the European Tour De France Soundtracks promo disc with some different mixes and song lengths compared to the regular release. If anyone could share, I'd be most grateful.

To contribute, here's that Italian version of Pocket Calculator (Mini Calcolatore) done for Italian tv, but with the crowd noise and show host edited out. There's another version out there that also removes this stuff, but the song skips at those cuts. This edit replaces the removed parts with matching music taken from elsewhere in the track, so there's no skips and it's a smoother listen. I hope this is of interest!

thanks for the track.

here's what discogs says about the promo:

Running times for some tracks vary from retail version, particularly Régéneration, which is 49 seconds longer on this promo release.

Tour De France Étape 3 and La Forme/Régéneration are different mixes from the retail version.

i didn't have it, but ordered it from france, so it should be here in a week or two.

will be seeing Kraftwerk in austin in a few weeks.

they are playing twice the same night. i will be going to one of the shows, and gave the
ticket for the other to my brother.

saw them in toronto several years ago, and it was amazing.

I saw them in Las Vegas last year. The show had the best sound of any concert I have ever been to. I don't know if it was due to the particular venue, or Kraftwerk taking super care in their sound design. But the volume was perfect, everything was crystal clear, no distortion. Amazing!

Yaay!! Thanks so much, -1! 320k MP3s are just fine for me, at least. Now that you have the disc, could you check Chrono as well? According to discogs, that song also has different run times between the releases. (3:19 vs. 3:27)

they are virtually identical.. there is some small variation in the samples at the very end of the song.
other than that they are 99% the same.
