Inadvertently stumbled onto this site earlier this evening; it's now 3 a.m. and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I'm apologizing in advance for what I assume will be oft-repeated requests, but I've tried searching the forums unsuccessfully and would greatly appreciate any assistance! Thanks.....

Sinceros- Disappearing
Firetown- Carry the Torch
Balancing Act- Who Got the Pearls?
Novo Combo- Up Periscope
Wazmo Nariz- Checking Out the Checkout Girl

Once again- thanks!!

Was Disappearing on "The Sound of Sunbathing"? If so, I have this in the basement on a shelf (somewhere). If nobody else comes up with it, I'll dig it out for you. let me know via e-mail.

Actually, I think it was on "Pet Rock", not the "Sound of Sunbathing". To the best of my knowledge, both Lp's are long out of print, and I know of no CD re-issues or even any of their tracks making it onto re-issues. It's a shame too since "Take Me To Your Leader" and "Worlds Apart" are two absolutely great New Wave tracks.

I agree, Take Me To Your Leader was a great bit of 80's NW. Thats why I got the lp...I also have an extended 12" version of the song sitting with the lp...somewhere.

Hey Eight6,

If you ever get around to ripping that extended 12" of "Take Me To Your Leader", please keep me in mind. I'd love to hear that one.

The Sinceros' "Take Me To Your Leader" is actually on a CD, "Big Hits, Skinny Ties: New Wave In The U.K." It's a budget CD and probably OOP but should be fairly easy to find. But, as far as I know, it's the ONLY Sinceros song to ever appear on CD. A Shame.
