<br>Thank you, eLeMeNOhPeaQ, that makes things much simpler[:)]

Oh well, now I'm after only a couple of tracks:

Jet Set 7" mix
Mysteries of Love LP mix with Sax

Strange that a band with such a devoled following as Alphaville still wasn't subject to the deluxe reissue treatment!
[/quote]

Isn't the "Jet Set" 7" mix on the "First Harvest" CD? Or was that a "new" mix made specifically for that CD?

Fred, it's the new mix entirely, based on the LP version, but sounds rather watered down to my ears compared to the 7" one (you can hear the latter in a video clip).

7" mix was made by Jellybean, a new mix from the First Harvest by the band member Bernhard Lloyd. Why did he bother - I cannot understand...

Hi!

The 7" version is NOT a Jellybean mix or edit. It is mixed by Wolfgang Loos, produced by him and Colin Pearson. I have just checked the 7" and the First Harvest version and they are the same original recording but for the compilation, Bernhard Lloyd overlaid some additional bassline and effects on it plus you can hear the 'get ready for the show!' scream at the beginning. So not the same sound indeed.

Here you have a clean rip of the 7" version, at Technics 1210 exact speed in a lossles flac: http://www47.zippyshare.com/v/14769407/file.html

Hope it's okay [;)]

Wow! Almost 30 years on and I'm still learning about all these re-recordings and remixes!

Analoge Mechanik, wow just wow! Describing that as a 'clean rip' is an understatement - it sounds fantastic! And looking at the sleeve notes on the various Discogs entries for the 7" backs up the fact that it includes a re-recording that Jellybean had nothing to do with (there's a Spanish 7" that mentions Jellybean, but it looks like that's just a typo as it's the same length and there's no artwork to back it up).

Also, big thanks to eighties and eLeMeNOhPeaQ for their uploads!

I just corrected the submission for the Spanish 7" at Discogs as it was wrong all around... As I'm spanish, I actually ripped the track from that same release!! [:D]

Glad that you liked it. You're all more tan welcome!

AM, well, I cannot thank you enough! Haven't been able to find it in 128 kbps mp3 - and now you post such a great-sounding FLAC! I'm indebted[:)]

I'll be bold and ask you maybe you have that «Mysteries of Love LP mix with Sax»?

Well, I managed to find it. Sourced from cd, not lossless this time as it was already lossy when I got it but I made sure that it has more than decent sound [:D]

And again, I compared the album version and this one. Both have sax and are almost identical in length, but although this one is misleadingly named 'lp mix with sax', it's definitely a different mix.

Enjoy it Passing Stranger!
