I finally got around to downloading and listening to Rubellan's edits of Duran Duran and The Human League. Loved them both...love The Human League more, mostly because "Is There Something I Should Know?" was never a favorite of mine (not sure why). But, Rubellan has inspired me to look into "Something?" a bit more, and I may just give the song a re-edit myself. I think it would be fun if more of us worked on the song and we could compile them for a special NWO EP. Anyway, nice job on the edits, Rubellan!

5 years ago, I took the Extended Mix of "Sister Of Mercy" and created a dub-like edit. Since there wasn't an official dub, I took it upon myself to make one. I focused on the instrumental parts and the lyric, "She's the one who's living in paradise," and played around with layering them.

What I ended up with is 4min 15sec track, "Living In Paradise [eLeMeNOhPeaQ Sister Of Mercy Dub]".

I wish someone could do a re-edit on the Human League's 'I LOve You Too Much" that appeared on the 12" (Keep Feeling) Fascination release. It's a different version to the one that appeared on 'Hysteria'. Always been one of favourite HL songs. Just a suggestion.

I must be the only one who preferred the Hysteria version better. The original was more funky though,which is fine but the 1984 version sounded more polished to me. I'd like to see an extended mix of both versions as well as a re-mix of Life On Your Own. The 12" mix could easily be redone.

Wow, this one was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I lost count of the edits. I lost count how many times I changed an edit. I almost lost my mind trying to get the last pass of the chorus in my edit, so I ended up leaving it out. Since I left it out, I suppose I shouldn't have titled it Monster Vocal Mix. Oh, and the artwork...you can invert the colors in Paint, if you would like white art with black lettering (I decided I liked black art with white lettering). Enjoy!

Maybe Rubellan and/or eLeMeNOhPeaQ could create and extened version of Sea of Sin - "Last Day In Paradise" - please see 'Sea Of Sin' post/topic. I think the song is worthy of an extended longer version.

And this is a more recent Next Wave band who stated some of their influences are Siouxsie, Tears For Fears and Japan. I loved their music, though their debut LP was shelved by EMI and they were dropped from the label when this STUNNING single failed. I have a promo CD with an instrumental version, so I gave it the Rubellan treatment because the official remixes were typical in the sense they didn't resemble the song at all. Download this and give it a try. It's as good as any First Wave classic:

I really like the Good Natured and was sorry to see them dropped. Earlier EP Skeleton was brilliant too. And this probably belongs in the Next Wave forum but since you brought them up, they did a great song with Vince Clarke:
