Welcome to the new forum!

Probably the most famous Swiss music export are the guys from Yello. One year before the band was formed, Dieter Meier released a punk record called "Cry For Fame". This 7" from 1978 is a well sought after collectors item.

If Yello is the best known band from Switzerland, then "The Captain Of Her Heart" is the biggest hit coming from Switzerland. Like Dieter Meier from Yello, Double's singer Kurt Maloo has also started doing punk records with Troppo. In 1980 he released a solo record, two years later a new wave record with his then band Ping Pong. What then followed was worldwide success with Double.
