i'm sure it's wall of voodoo in the song it says "everybody wants a piece of pie today, it's the __________" that's all i could remember if someone can figure out which song i am talking about please tell me.

Close. It's Stan Ridgeway "Big Heat." Stan was the lead singer of Wall of Voodoo, but this was a solo project.
