eight6,

I'm too lazy to backtrack which thread that was, but as I recall it started out with talk on Virgins & Philistines, which lead to Deception which lead to some Terry Hall-bashing, which lead to some FLL-bashing, which lead to some Filipino-bashing and all throughout the thread were inserts on how to spell the band's name correctly. I don't know how it ended.

It was nuclear armageddon followed by the Colourfield-hating Morlocks moving underground, cultivating the witless Eloi, who stayed above ground, for food. All-in-all, it worked out pretty synergistically.

No matter how the band name is spelled (I'd go for "Colourfield" as their first single was "Colour field") their Deception album is crap, apart from "She" perhaps. I bought it for 4 Euros because I liked some songs fromn the ext. Philistines CD (would have paid 30 Euros when I was looking for their stuff, but now I'd only pay 10-15 Euros for it as it contains versions that are inferior to their 1985 EP), which brings me to one of their best tracks: Frosty Mornings. You won't find that on CD - as far as I know.
Out of mere curiosity and as an ignorant non-native speaker of English, what is Terry Hall hated for?

I really don't know why some people hate Terry Hall. They say he was only as good until Fun Boy Three. But I loved his work even after, the Colourfield/ Vegas/ Terry,Blair & Anouchka and countless collaborations.

But it seems we're departing from the reason the thread started off in the first place. I don't think oasisfan received any positive reply on his request. Will check if I still have the album to share.

For those who don't speak geek: [:D]

All 6 of the remaining fans of THE COLOUR FIELD fans continue to like them while the rest of us continue to consider them bland nancyboy wusspop crap. As always with these types of discussions, nothing was resolved but it sure was fun.

I will also check to see if I have it. [;)]

The Colourfield have always been good for a laugh, either by discussing how their name should be spelt, or for that matter by just listening to them.

Just some good natured ribbing oasis, don't take it the wrong way.
