Thanks, you've reminded me of why I hated this song then. I found out that my feelings haven't changed.

I love the 7" veresion of Edelweiss.

Thanks for posting the Tourist Version.I love that part where it sounds like the Swedish Chef from the Muppets is busting out on the vocals. [:D]

With all the mixes done for this song, including recent 2000 and 2001 re-remixes, the original single version is the best (IMO). Edelweiss was sued by the men in ABBA for using the melody of ABBA's "SOS" for the chours of "Bring Me Edelweiss".

*flipping through music catalogue*

Umm....I don't seem to have a Justin Strauss mix listed anywhere on the CD single I have. I have the 7" version, the Tourist Version, the Schnapps Bonus, and the Yodel version. None of those are credited with J.S.

I do remember, however, that my friend had bought the U.S. edition of this 12" when it came out, and it had a bunch of different mixes on there--none of them recognizable as the original version. So, she returned it. Perhaps the version you're looking for is on that lost 12"?
