Giving something back

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

Giving something back

I grew up in Virginia on a steady diet of WHFS, which for awhile had no established playlists, just whatever the DJs wanted to do. They'd do entire sets of songs containing a single phrase, regardless of genre. Anyway, I've been accumulating some of those old tunes and everyone at NWO has been incredibly generous. Thank you and here are some of my favorites from other sources. Not necessarily New Wave, but I don't think anyone will mind.

Boogie ‘til You Puke – Root Boy Slim

Mary's Danish! Thanx for that track, been quite a while since hearing that one.
Funny for some reason they always reminded me of Throwing Muses.[|)]

Sorry, Whomod, I didn't know you were looking for Mary's Danish tracks. Had I known, I could have helped you earlier.

At any rate, since "Don't Crash The Car Tonight" has already been posted, I'll share the group's second biggest hit: "Julie's Blanket" from 1991.

Josh, thanks for sharing these! That's a nice selection of (mostly) late '80s alternative -- takes me back to my college days. I haven't heard Indio's "Hard Sun" in ages ... I had completely forgotten about it.
