How about some songs from that elusive Ferris Bueller soundtrack? Someone posted "Beat City" already, but what about:

The English Beat - Rotating Heads (Raga version)
Big Audio Dynamite - Bad

and I think a Dream Academy song?? Was it Edge of Forever? or maybe that was from another 80s movie...

Frayos got the Ferris Bueller OST.

Because secretly Frayos Ferris...only born in the 80s...instead of being cool in the 80s.

Dream Academy - The Edge of Forever

Dream Academy - Please Please Let Me Get What I Want.

General Public - Taking the Day off

No guarantees for this, it is posted while I am under heavy alcohol use.
Its been one of those weeks, guys- let me tell you. Actually I wont- you guys dont want to hear about my week. Here- songs....download....dont reply...dont comment me....you know the drill.

Oh shit- somethings wrong. ML's not finding files for some reason. Its been acting up lately. Ill get drunker and smack it around a bit. I have this on CD...and somewhere- on my HDDs.

Its the sound and feeling of a mutual lust fest between two 15 year olds. "what, no smoking?"

Frayos got his own ideas of where to take the soundtrack section.
In one corner he'll post a match between Georgio Moroder and Frank Stallone in a cheap and kinda cheesy....but kinda awesome at the same time track consisting of retroness and DX-7s. People going to care: 0.

Frank Stallone - Bad Night

# of people who think 'Nite' spelling was created just for this song:
Everyone.

NEXT! ONWARD!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This one is disco-pop...and synth heavy. Pretty synth-pop like.
Cheesy...but damn I love this song. Unplayed since me and Tiff split. Played just this time for me....to make sure the file didnt get eaten by a recent MP3 crash I had....and shared for you. People are going to care: -4 (these four people are going to rip my arms to pieces with razor blades for not sharing decent music)

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 141590D64B

Chart: #78, YEAR: 1985.

NEXT!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Italo....sounding....I guess.
EG Daily is hot tonight....and you can tell just by listening to this song...that she freaking rocks everything in the known universe. And Moroders got it going on too.
Making me want to dig out my Moroder obscurities.
Making me want to start a thread about Moroder and get a 'lets share Moroder's coolness with everyone' share going.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 644553E52D

EG Daily is hot tonight.
Elizabeth Daily - Im Hot Tonight.
I heard this song first on my roomates computer..and flipped out. The last time I listening to it- I was throwing up from drinking 2 bottles of cough medicine and hacking up blood from a bleeding ulcer caused by too much alcohol. That was a year ago.

Anyone else know why she sounds like Tommy Pickles from The Rugrats?

ONWARD AGAIN!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Genius 1985....see this movie...find someone and ask them nicely to host the soundtrack- then COMMENT on their post and tell them thanks for hosting it for thee.
So help me. The Oberheim synths in this song....leave you wondering- was I just touched by God? Or was that the next best thing?
Obviously it was the next best thing. The synthesizer solo in here is awesome enough to put the best sex to shame. A catchy video game-esque synth thread that leaves the mind wondering...'did some kind of orgasm happen in my brain?'

Yes- yes it did.
If nobody comments on this Chaz Jankel song- I am not posting any more Mp3s. Not responding to this song- is a CRIME.

Anyone else catch that DX-7?

NEXT WE TAKE A TRIP TO THE OTHER END OF THE UNIVERSE:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I lost the only girl I have really loved up until this point- by cheating on her. I slept with a friend of mine while I was stoned. I dont remember anything that happened...but there was a song stuck in my head the entire time. Everything had this underwater feeling from all this cough medicine I drank beforehand. I dont remember it at all...just the underwater feeling..and wanting to listen to this song first thing- when I woke up without my clothing- next to some friend of mine.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... F031E6B5B3

Armed with a Fairlight CMI, Giorgio Moroder is out to enlist the lead vocalist of ELO to make a song...and the result it THIS. (above link)

BRING ME THE NEXT SONG....PLEASE! IM STARTING TO GET SOBER!!
Oh a drink? Thanks dude!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Armed with a DX-7, Keith Forsey is out to give Karla Devito another chance to make an awesome record. And he succeeds with this under rated song form the Breakfast Club soundtrack.

Karla Devito - We Are Not Alone.

(yes, I can play this one. yes I have played it for my friends on my own synths. No, they didnt care. And the gf gave me attention to get me to STOP playing.)

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... CF7DEC0B84

also from this soundtrack is the awesome Wang Chung tune...that rocks harder...and plays even harder. If the volume isnt loud enough so that you can feel it in your entire body...or if its not loud enough to sheild the sound of you crying because you're drunk and depressed at having been born 20 years too late...then turn it up!

Wang Chung - Fire in the Twilight

NEXT PHASE SOME FUNK!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An epic trip. When I listen to this song, I am taken back to a digital landscape of and LSD trip I had when I was about 13. I was in....9th grade- before I graduated early- I was a straight B student. I could have been an A, but I chose to neglect the study for the sake of exploring my own mind.

The digital landscape..of a yellow computer screen and flames dancing in the background-
From the movie "Perfect"...with a soundtrack. I used to compose my posts on notepad before posting...and I used to carefully think about them- but they were ignored....but the last one I wrote was never posted here- it was a request 2-3 years ago.....for information about this soundtrack. Any other tracks from this soundtrack will be greatly....greatly appreciated.
THIS IS A FUNKY SONG!! with awesome Roland Juno 106 synth brass.....
Sexy? you bet it is!

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 412D5BEC7B

Jermaine Jackson - (Closest Thing To) Perfect

The best song from the soundtrack. John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis...what an unusual duo...then again....any duo with Jamie Lee Curtis is going to be odd.

NEXT PHASE!! A JAMIE LEE CURTIS MOVIE!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not from the 80s..but features a really obscure 80s tune.
SO LISTEN THE HELL UP NWOers!!!

A strange weird group from the 70s came together to make a soundtrack to a childrens series..that never materialized. They composed the most perfect sound ever made. I dont know what it is- but I'd shed any amount of blood to find out. LISTEN TO THAT PIANO! (this sounds like about 100% of what I write..only with a synth bass and some disco noises..and some mac MIDI noise from the early early 90s)

From the hilarious..and one movie from my top 10.
Drowning Mona-

Pipkins - Gimme Dat Ding.
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... B72B012220

NEXT PHASE NU WAVE!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try and find this song....I dare you.

Now on to the TOYS soundtrack form 1996...came out when I was little(r).
And I found this wonderful song. I had always loved it. I then discovered the 80s..and it turned out that I loved the freaking 80s (which cursed me in the end)....but I found this song...this wonderful song. I remember it taking FOREVER to find. Its awesome...and its by THOMAS DOLBY!

Thomas Dolby - The Mirror Song.
If this aint something that sparks your interest...then I dont know what will!

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... FF107EA411

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next up.... a song that makes me cry.

J-POP felt like sharing this because Im in a crying depressing mood.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 1E0642D20C

NEXT WE GO TO 1982...OR 1938????
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vangelis....Blade Runner. As far as Im concerned, this movie is my savior. It is the movie by which if I were ever to chose to die. I would chose to do so while watching this movie...and listening to the italo/new wave music so sacred- that I cant share with anyone- aquired by hassling the artists themselves.

This song is referred to the odd man out...on the OST..but in the orchestrated version (sent to me by mistake...but this track saved it from the discard bin)....this song is wonderful. Love it.
Thats right I order you to love it. You love it...physically and emotionally...because its a trip back in time to an era where smoking was normal...and where the music was non-electronic...and so awesome. An era where everything was cool...because we didnt know any better.

Ladies and Gentlemen-

Vangelis & New American Orchestra - One More Kiss, Dear
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 6B6376E6DB

OK...now Im done. Hate me later.

Holy moley.

Where do you find this stuff? I gave up on finding that Jermaine Jackson song years ago. Thank you!

If you want the album that "Gimme dat ding" came on, it's posted over on "Post Punk Junk". Trippy stuff, especially when you consider that it was made for kids. (Go down to March 10th)

EG Daily does the voice for Tommy Pickles
on The Rugrats. She has also done lots of
other cartoon voices.

...and I haven't felt so alive, in years.

Well well, paid big bucks to get this one. Give a listen to the fabulous "Light Sleeper" soundtrack directed by Paul Schrader. Very emotional, obscure piece by the singer of The Call:

Michael Been - World on Fire

http://www.mytempdir.com/697198

Since Frayo mentioned a thread for Moroder obscurities (being drunk and therefor not too seriously I guess) I'll start off with this one:

Giorgio Moroder - Another Way (Instrumental)

http://www.mytempdir.com/697209

Would love to hear others you keep in your vaults as well! [:D]
